Sample Submissions

All submitted samples require a completed, signed, Chain of Custody to be submitted with the samples.
Please complete the appropriate Chain of Custody based on your testing needs.

Incomplete or missing COC’s may results in processing delays.

Coliform

All sample submissions are subject to our Terms and Conditions.

Please call us to coordinate the shipping and receiving of samples that are iced or frozen in order to minimize the chance of warming or spoilage.

• Perishable Samples: Should be shipped overnight and on “blue ice” chill packs.
• Frozen Samples: Should be maintained in the frozen state using dry ice.

To ensure the safety of our staff and the integrity of your samples, please follow these guidelines:

• Include your eCOC confirmation # or hard copy of the completed chain of custody form with your sample parcel.
• When packaging your samples, place loose items like plant materials, powders, or concentrates in a sealed jar or plastic bag.
• Liquids in delicate glass or plastic bottles should be placed in a sealed plastic bag to avoid leaks.
• When using Whirl-Pak bags, roll the wire down several times to ensure a secure seal.
• Please note that our facility is not equipped to accept animal or human tissue, so please do not submit these materials.

To help you stay updated on the status of your sample, we will send you an email summary of your order once it is received and registered at our lab.

Turnaround Times

We offer a range of Turnaround Time (TAT) options to meet your project and budgetary requirements. TAT’s vary by test and commodity with some reporting options available by end of next business day, with our most cost effective options ranging from 5 to 8 business days. Please note: that end of next business day options are available upon prior notification and only for certain methods, and samples must be received at the lab before 11AM to ensure timely processing in the lab. TAT’s start from successful receipt of a complete COC upon intake.

Delivery of Certificates of Analysis (COA)

COA’s will be e-mailed as soon as work is completed. You may request a paper copy by mail. If payment must be received prior to release of COS’s unless payment terms have not been established prior to receipt of samples.

Sampling, Sample Sizes, and Preservation

Please call us if you have questions concerning sampling, sample sizes or preservation of samples. These factors can vary widely per sample so contact us for specifics on your sample.
